Dear Paul,
Well, where to start? Our story first began when I was just 22 years old and fresh out of University. I was under the bold misconception that landing my first job would be easy – it was not to be the case, and after 90 job applications, I found myself one cold February day rocking up at the Sennheiser UK offices in Loudwater.
During my interview, you asked me to sell to you a pair of infra-red headphones (I had no idea what infra-red even meant, apart from I remembered that it was the same technology that was used in a TV remote control). You proved a tough negotiator and asked for a ridiculously high margin! You believed in me, recognised my strengths and somehow, I got the job, which was just the start of a long and happy career at Sennheiser.
Fast forward more than 25 years and I would not be the person I am today without you; I owe you so much and hope that I may continue to make you proud.
Thank you for so much, it has been a great privilege to have had you in my life and I will never forget you.
Rest in peace.
